My own journey…

Looking back, a few things stand out to me as particularly meaningful:

  • Deciding that I didn’t need to know the full journey ahead to take the first step… in both my professional and personal life. Having the courage to take a career break and do the work.

  • Cultivating a loving and trusting relationship with myself. Reconnecting to my inner knowing.

  • Becoming a coach to guide other women through their inner work. Getting to facilitate the most incredible, life changing work.

  • Prioritising my physical, mental, emotional, and energetic well-being. Opting for a slower, more grounded life.

I spent my twenties buying into some conventional definition of success. I was climbing up the corporate ladder, chasing promotions and bonuses, while my own health and happiness suffered. I was disconnected from my inner knowing. The voice in my head was a mean one, nothing I did was ever good enough. I was sleep deprived, anxious, and dysregulated. I was coping through heavy substance abuse and obsessive control over my diet - habits that I’d developed as a teenager.

After years of build up and burn out, I decided that there had to be another way. I didn’t know what was next for me, but I knew that what I was doing wasn’t working, and I was ready to try another way. In 2020, I took a career break and ultimately left my corporate career. I rediscovered what life was all about. I woke up. I lived. I healed. I grew.

I laughed, I learned, I read, I played, I travelled, I moved, I found stillness.

I sat with myself and observed the flurry of constant thoughts in my head. I realised that I was really fucking mean to myself. I discovered belief systems that were keeping me stuck in a version of myself that I didn’t want to be anymore. I realised that the substance abuse and disordered eating weren’t going to go away on their own. I decided that enough was enough. I made a commitment to care for myself, forever.

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t have it all figured out. This work, the work, is a lifelong journey. A journey that I take day by day. But, I have learned some things that make all the difference...

I have learned that I get to choose the thoughts and beliefs that serve me and let go of the ones that do not. I have learned that my body will tell me what is working and what isn’t. I have learned to breathe; to surrender; to forgive; to tune into what I need; and to offer myself love and compassion - even (& particularly when) I am having a difficult time. I have learned to trust in myself and trust that everything is happening exactly how it is supposed to - that what is meant for me will always find me.

These days, I love my slow life - soaking up the Sydney sunshine; cooking at home to my favourite music; reading (and scrolling) in the bath; and spending as much time as I can with my husband, Andrew, and our sweet Cavoodle, Oliver. 

Coaching Modalities

I completed my coaching certification in August 2021. I believe in a holistic approach and draw from multiple modalities, including:

  • Blending cognitive behavioural techniques with somatic practices to rewire thoughts, beliefs, emotions, actions, habits, and patterns at both the conscious and subconscious levels

  • Self compassion, self forgiveness, and self love

  • Mindfulness and meditation

  • Energy shifting practices including the Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT/“tapping”)

  • Breath work

  • Inner child and past self healing

These are evidence-based methods for creating positive, powerful, and lasting change, supported by psychology and neuroscience.

I have built my self worth, my mindset, my business - my entire life - using the methods and tools I coach with. I deeply love and believe in this work, and it is a joy and an honour to facilitate it.
